College Hall, 1889

College Hall was completed prior to the arrival of Wellesley's first students in September 1875. This photo appeared in an 1889 book, Views of Wellesley College. 

Students of the 20th and 21st centuries know this hill as the location of Tower Court and Claflin Hall, with Severance Hall and Severance Green now located in the area pictured in the foreground of this photo.
